In addition to providing invaluable linguistic support to the mission on both occassions, Petty Officer Reynolds set the standard for the entire Direct Support Program by tirelessly working to complete the rigorous submarine qualification program during his first mission. Petty Officer Reynolds exceeded expectations by volunteering for two temporary duty assignments onboard a United States Pacific Fleet Combatant in direct support of the gaining command, NIOC Hawaii, Direct Support Element. Achieved 99% compliance with DoD training requirements and 100% DLPT exceeding standards. Qualified Aft-Observer, SPECOP, Senior Operator, and Supervisor within one year! Exceeded TFO expectations and fulfilled critical manning shortfalls for ACDSE ops. Produced 416 time-sensitive reports, providing critical intelligence for tactical and National decision makers in the FIFTH and SIXTH FLEET Areas of Responsibility while on Temporary Flight Orders (TFO).
